At the height of Girls Aloud’s fame in the early 2000s, paparazzi was undoubtedly at its worst. Celebrities were being chased down in cars, photos were taken through their windows into the privacy of their homes, and everything they did was splashed over the covers of tabloids.
Despite all this, Nadine Coyle appears completely unfazed when she spots one. Instead saying, “There’s someone in the car behind! A paparazzi guy… A CUTE paparazzi guy! Call me!”.

However, no one can do everything, and Nadine found this out during her time on Popstars: The Rivals when she just couldn’t get the hang of the choreography.

Appearing on GMTV, the band were asked, “Are you the most successful girl band of all time?”.
Nadine took control of the situation, saying, “In terms of top tens, we’ve had A LOT of top tens. And apparently, I don’t know, but apparently, no other girl band has ever had that many top tens”.
Remaining as humble as always, she concluded, “If people would say we’re the most successful girl band of all time, that’s their own prerogative”.

One of our favourite things about Nadine is that she never lost her strong Derry accent. During an appearance on Saturday Brunch, Nadine told the host that she loves baking and “workin’ with flour”.

2. Girls Aloud visit a Buddhist temple – we’re not in Ireland anymore
Back in 2006, the girls travelled to China to film a six-part TV series, Girls Aloud: Off The Record. We got to witness some hilarious and heartfelt moments on the show, but one of our favourites was when the girls visited a Buddhist temple.
Nadine wanted to pay her respects and say a prayer. However, she just wasn’t quite sure what kind of prayer to say at a Buddhist temple. But she did know, “You don’t say a Hail Mary in here!”

Nadine has been an icon since the very start, and undoubtedly one of the funniest Nadine Coyle moments took place before anyone even really knew who she was.
The young starlet was so keen to make a name for herself that she lied about her age to get onto the TV talent show Popstars. However, all was revealed when she accidentally let slip her real date of birth, stating, “Date of birth is the 15th of the sixth ’85, making me a Gemini”.
