You heard it here first; ITV is planning a big switch-up when it comes to the next series of Love Island, and we are here to tell you the juicy gossip. Let’s just say this change will shock everyone!

The iconic dating game show, which hit our screens in 2015, has had a few notable hosts, contestants, and a famed voiceover.

However, things are about to change when 2023 comes around. ITV has recently announced the big news, and together with our secret sources, we can now let you in on the secret that Graham Norton will host Love Island 2023.

But wait… there’s more! Fans of the beloved British show, which airs for around eight weeks during the summer, will be shocked to see a familiar yet unexpected new face when the first episode airs next year.

    So, why the change?

Over the years, it has been the most watched TV show among 16 to 34-year old’s both in Ireland and the UK.

Still, it is said that producers are looking to appeal to a broader audience. So, they are hopeful that Graham Norton fans and perhaps fans of Father Ted may even tune in.

Graham Norton is well known for his show The Graham Norton Show and for appearing in various comedies over the years. So, ITV is excited to see what new flare he will bring to the villa.

One of the most exciting things is that the show will not only have a new host. Rather, to go alongside the significant change, ITV is planning to introduce a new voiceover, which is yet to be confirmed.

The idea came about when ITV producers were looking for a way to give the show a new look. They decided to make use of Graham Norton’s comedic talents and sex appeal.

One producer even stated, “We think Graham has the perfect combination of sexiness, sassiness, and wittiness that will be quintessential for the next series.”

Laura Whitmore, the show’s former host, is yet to comment on the recent news. However, inside sources say that she is not sure Graham Norton can fill her boots.

However, it has also been confirmed that producers were just waiting for Graham to accept their offer, and the former host Laura Whitmore was merely put in place until the deal was sealed.

With Irish comedian Graham Norton taking over Love Island in 2023, we can expect the show to have a new look and even a new setting, perhaps in Ireland this time, as well as contestants of all age groups.

“2023 is the year for diversity on the show,” Graham Norton recently said. So, we cannot wait to see what excitement the show will bring to households in Ireland and the UK next summer.

One fan of Graham Norton said, “I was never one for reality shows like that. But I’ll be glued to the TV when it comes on next year”. Meanwhile, another stated that this was the best news she had heard since the COVID restrictions were lifted.

Many have criticized the show for being shallow, fake, and full of drama. However, others make sure not to miss a single episode since it is only on for a short time during the year.

It is understood that ITV producers felt the old Love Island and its cliché blonde bombshell presenter were a bit blasé and ‘overdone’. One stated, “It is time to go out with the old and in with the new in 2023”.

    The new series‒ going family-friendly

Love Island is to become a family-friendly show that we can all sit and watch with our parents, friends, and even our grandparents.

The upcoming 2023 series is said to incorporate some new rules and restrictions. Some of these include censored conversations and even a ban on wearing skimpy bikinis.

ITV is said to have been waiting for their perfect host to agree to this new version of the show. So, now that Graham Norton has come onboard, the future vision of Love Island 2023 is in the making.

As a result, we can expect our Love Island evenings to be a little less dramatic next year, albeit filled with plenty of classic one-liners and jokes from the Irish host, who is due to make comedic history.

Laura Whitmore and her voiceover husband Iain Stirling are said to be planning a boycott of the new series. However, many celebs have stated they will be tuning in to see what the new series has in store.

    So, will you be watching?
