An iconic Irish band has revealed their hopes to open for Oasis during their stint in Croke Park next year.
Fans across the UK and Ireland scrambled to get tickets for the band’s now sold out reunion tour, which is due to take place next summer.
As if that wasn’t excitement enough, one beloved Irish band has revealed their hopes to open for Oasis in Croke Park when they perform at the Irish stadium on 16 and 17 August.
Paying homage to their Irish roots – the biggest news in music
It’s the reunion we never believed would come. Gallagher brothers Liam and Noel have put their differences aside to bring fans the tour they always dreamed of.
With 15 sold out dates currently scheduled across the UK and Ireland next summer, Oasis fans can’t believe their dreams are really coming true.
With two nights scheduled at Dublin’s Croke Park next August, fans are already querying who will open up for the Manchester icons – and one beloved Irish band has already put their hat in the ring.
The Wolfe Tones and Oasis – a match made in heaven
The rumours began when social media account @IrishUnity encouraged followers to manifest The Wolfe Tones opening for Oasis next year.
Gaining quite the momentum, The Wolfe Tones frontman Brian Warfield revealed the band would ‘love’ to get involved.
Speaking to RSVP Live, Warfield said, “The main ambition for the future is Croke Park with Oasis. That would put the icing on the cake.”
No solid plans are currently in place. However, Warfield said, “We’ve already created an interest that we would love to do it. I guess it’s up to them and their management.
“We would just do our spot opening up for them, and they would be part of their spot. People want to see Oasis, and they might want to see The Wolfe Tones. They would want to see each of us doing our own thing.”
So, for now, we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
