One Irish café in Galway has decided to offer customers a highly affordable full Irish breakfast despite the ongoing cost of living crisis.

As the cost of living crisis continues to rage on in Ireland, causing many prices to rise across bars, restaurants, and cafés, some establishments have decided to fight back against it and keep their prices at a more stable and affordable level.
One such business fighting the cost of living crisis is a café in the town of Oranmore, located in the west of Ireland in the county of Galway.
The café in Galway has proudly announced that they’re offering one of, if not the, cheapest full Irish breakfasts, including tea or coffee, for €9.90, which is quite impressive as the average price of a full Irish breakfast is approximately €13.50.
The cost of living crisis – an ongoing issue in Ireland

Expensive tobacco and alcohol, transport, energy, and communications prices have primarily caused Ireland’s current cost of living crisis. Concerning tobacco and alcohol, the Republic of Ireland has had the highest prices in the EU, with prices coming in at more than twice the EU average.
Although many other cafés are opportunistically cashing in on the rising costs, Cafe 22 have gone the other way and even boasted that their full Irish breakfast is impressively €3 cheaper than the national average.
The full Irish breakfast – a famous Irish breakfast

A traditional full Irish breakfast comprises bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, potatoes, soda bread or toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, and white or black pudding.
The full Irish breakfast was initially designed to be a meal that would keep farmers’ appetites sated throughout the day and provide them with enough energy to efficiently tackle all the challenges that would occur on a traditional farming day.
Cafe 22 – a café which looks after their customers

Cafe 22 in Galway recently posted on social media to highlight that they are offering what they believe to be the cheapest full Irish breakfast in the country and intend to keep their prices stable for the good of their loyal customers.
Their post read: “Here at Cafe 22, you can get a delicious full Irish Breakfast served all day for only €9.90; the average price across the country is €13.50. What’s included in our price:

The post concluded: “Yes, for less than €10, we have even included tea or coffee – sure, what is the point of a full Irish without tea or coffee?
“We have been told our full Irish is too cheap; it’s bad business, but you know what it’s good for our customers, and that’s what is important to us. So why not call in and enjoy a Full Irish?”.
