Krispy Kreme’s ongoing Irish expansion – increasing the number of Irish branches

It was also recently announced that Krispy Kreme plans to expand into the West of Ireland. There are also plans to increase its total number of branches in Dublin, Louth and Kildare.
As part of this expansion by Krispy Kreme, there has been an announcement of new partnerships. This includes partnerships with The Plaza Group and Applegreen. This deal will see Krispy Kreme products sold in four Plaza garages and nine Applegreen locations.
Furthermore, Krispy Kreme’s Chief Growth Officer, Matthew Spanjers, when recently speaking to business analysts about the company’s Irish expansion plan, said, “Ireland itself is a huge growth opportunity.
“We have just opened a new doughnut factory in Ireland, which allows us to take advantage of the DFD (delivered fresh daily) opportunity. And next year, we will open a new hub in Belfast for entry into Northern Ireland.
“The UK and Ireland are among our most developed markets, right? There is a very successful, well-established hub and spoke network, but there is still plenty of room for growth. Even in a market like the UK, we see opportunities for an additional 2,000 access points over the next few years”.
