    Ireland has become a popular holiday destination among A-listers looking to escape the bright lights and fast pace of the Hollywood hills.

    We all already know that Ireland is a bucket list-worthy destination, full of stunning landscapes and historic sites. Now, the rich and famous are catching on to our best-kept secret.

    From movie stars to models, pop stars, and more, Hollywood’s biggest names are trading the bright lights for something more rural.

    All raving about the Emerald Isle on social media, with some even hinting they’d like to relocate for good, Ireland is becoming one of the most sought-after holiday destinations in the world.

    Here are the top ten celebrities to visit Ireland in 2021.

    Kicking off our list of celebrities to visit Ireland in 2021 is Modern Family star, Sarah Hyland.

    The brunette actress announced on Instagram that she was working on a new series at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin back in May of this year.

    9. Maya Rudolph – one of the funniest ladies in Hollywood

    As part of the upcoming Enchanted sequel cast, Rudolph spent much time in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, earlier this year.

    Actress and comedian Maya Rudolph is most well-known for her part in movies such as Bridesmaids and Grown Ups.

    Starring alongside Derry Girls’ Nicola Coughlan in Bridgerton, everyone was obsessed with Rege-Jean Page as the duke when the series hit our screens in 2020.

    So, Irish fans were over the moon to discover the actor paid a visit to the north when filming for Dungeons and Dragons this year.

    7. James and Oliver Phelps – the Weasley twins visit the Causeway Coast

    James and Oliver Phelps, otherwise known as Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, shared photos online from their trip to the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland.

    Well used to giants from their time in the wizarding world, the brothers seemed to have a great time exploring the mythical Antrim Coast!

    Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks was among a long list of celebrities to visit to Ireland this year.

    Taking some well-earned downtime from filming, the actress, accompanied by her husband, posted pictures to social media at the famous Cliffs of Moher and Dublin Bay.

    5. Amy Adams – the princess of Wicklow

    Another cast member from Disney’s upcoming fantasy film Disenchanted, Amy Adams was spotted out and about around Enniskerry, County Wicklow.

    The redhead will star as Giselle, a princess who has been banished from her kingdom to the ‘real world’, in the upcoming film set for release in 2022.

    English actress Florence Pugh paid a visit to the Emerald Isle in August of this year. She took to social media to share her love of Ireland, declaring, “I’m loving it here… everyone is so kind!”

    When she wasn’t making us all jealous with her Instagram posts showing off her creamy pint of Guinness, she was busy on set filming the adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s Wonder.

    Accompanied by stars Chris Pine and Rege-Jean Page, Grant was busy filming at Titanic Studios.

    2. Patrick Dempsey – McDreamy in Ireland

    Known by fans as ‘McDreamy’, Hollywood heartthrob Patrick Dempsey shared his love for the Emerald Isle online. He took to Instagram to share various posts of his time away.

    Touring the country, the Grey’s Anatomy star posted pictures at the top of Sugarloaf, outside Mussenden Temple. He even posed with a local donkey!

    The actor is set to star alongside Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph in Disenchanted. Alongside them, he spent much of his time in Ireland in County Wicklow.

    Topping our list of celebrities to visit Ireland in 2021 is everyone’s favourite singing sweetheart Taylor Swift.

    The first official announcement of her time in Ireland was announced by Miss Swift herself. She posted a picture online of Portsalon’s Magherawarden Beach in County Donegal.

    Next, the 31-year-old singer was spotted out and about Belfast, enjoying the local pub scene and watching local artists perform.

    Even posing for selfies with eager fans, Swift was in Ireland accompanying boyfriend Joe Alwyn. At the time, he was busy filming the television adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel Conversations with Friends.
