Aisling Bea cracks guests up after appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in her dressing gown and slippers.
Irish comedian Aisling Bea laughed with guest host Sean Hayes about how British Airways (BA) mixed up her luggage, leaving her with nothing to wear to the show.
The Irish funny woman turned up to Jimmy Kimmel Live wearing a dressing gown and slippers as she simply couldn’t face finding something new to wear for the event.
Aisling Bea appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live wearing a dressing gown – it’s called fashion
Aisling Bea explained to guest host Sean Hayes, who you might know from Will & Grace, that after BA lost her luggage, she couldn’t face the “thoughts of trying to find something (to wear)”.
Hayes had asked Bea if she thought her interview was over Zoom, prompting her to explain her interesting attire.
She said, “Luckily, the hotel had this ‘free dress’ just lying in the bathroom! I was like, I’ll wear that”. She later thanked the reception and housekeeping team at the hotel for lending her the dressing gown.
Aisling Bea paired the white dressing gown with matching hotel slippers for the occasion.
An unexpected outfit – Irish comedian compares herself to Maria von Trapp
The This Way Up creator explained to Sean Hayes that her flight from London to LA was cancelled. This meant she had to fly from London to Chicago and then onto LA from there.
The Irish comedian arrived in LA only to find that her luggage was lost. This forced her to wear a dressing gown and slippers from her hotel.
The intention of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live was to promote the second season of her hilarious comedy series, This Way Up. However, her outfit absolutely had to be addressed.
She said, “I wasn’t sure you’d notice, but I suppose I have to address it.”
A plea for the return of her luggage – we want you home
Issuing a plea for the return of her luggage Aisling looked into the camera and said, “Please, please just bring her home to me. We miss you, we love you, don’t look in the back pocket. We want you to come home.”
After her appearance on the show, she took to social media to confirm that she had been “reunited” with her suitcase, or as she called it, her “boo”.
Bea had fans cracking up as she shared a series of photos on her social media pages of her on the balcony and backstage, as well as sitting with Sean Hayes in her outfit.
She thanked her hair and makeup team for tying the whole look together. She also thanks her “stylists”, the reception and housekeeping team at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood.
