Florence Pugh has taken to social media to share her experience of Ireland as she films Netflix thriller The Wonder.

Since arriving in Ireland last week, Florence Pugh has been excitedly sharing her experience in Ireland to fans, sharing a photo of her enjoying a pint of Guinness in a local pub.

“Happy Friday lads,” she captioned the post.

She also posted an image of the Hollywood sign in Wicklow, captioning the photo, “Less traffic, greener hills and great Guinness. A different kind of Hollywood”.

Besides the sights and local delicacies, Pugh has fallen in love with the “gorgeous” and “kind” locals.

She took to Instagram to thank everyone she has met in Ireland so far, stating that “I can’t tell you how gorgeous everyone is, every single person I interact with is lovely and so helpful.

“Everyone is so kind and ready to just have a good time with you.

“So, thank you Ireland for being so generous and welcoming.”

Florence Pugh isn’t the only star to have fallen for the welcoming charm of Ireland, as Patrick Dempsey was also in Ireland recently filming Disney’s Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted.

Like Dempsey, the actress has only been here for two weeks, but has already shared her many adventures whilst enjoying Irish food, culture, and people.

Pugh shared a photo to her 4.6 million Instagram followers, giving them a sneak peak of the upcoming film.

The Wonder follows the story of an English nurse in Ireland in the 19th century, played by Florence Pugh. She is summoned to a small village following the discovery of a girl who is said to have survived for months without food.

The nurse agrees to monitor the girl, who has been famed as a medical miracle by locals. But are there more sinister forces at work?

Donoghue’s novel is based on the 19th century phenomenom of the “fasting girls.”

The Wonder is due to arrive on Netflix in 2022. You can find out more information on the upcoming thriller here.
