So, let’s see what you might have in common with the legend that is Sister Michael.

    10. She loves the TV show Rawhide – a fan of westerns

If you enjoy this show, you have that in common with the small angry penguin woman!

Sister Michael has also mentioned she does not like cinnamon. Not hugely surprising since it is a bit of a marmite for most people.

If cinnamon does not tickle your fancy, you and Sister Michael have that in common.

    8. She became a nun to get free accommodation – fair enough

In an early episode of Derry Girls, she mentioned that she specifically became a nun to avail of the free accommodation.

If you have done this or tried to pull something similar, you have that in common with Sister Michael. I mean, you can see why she did that, right?

    7. Sister Michael works as a Headmistress – an obvious similarity

One of the things you might have in common with Sister Michael is your profession.

It doesn’t take too long when watching Derry Girls to realise that Sister Michael is not hugely enthusiastic about her job.

This can be gauged from her expressions and the numerous things she says during the show.

In particular, when she mentions how stressful exams can be, she finishes her sentence by saying, don’t come crying to me.

If you are not exactly jumping out of your seat about your job, this is another thing you have in common with Sister Michael.

    4. She is Catholic – do you share these beliefs?

Like the vast majority of the characters in Derry Girls, Sister Michael is Catholic and a nun.

Judo is next on the list of things you might have in common with Sister Michael. That’s right, in one episode of Derry Girls, the main characters accidentally broke a statue in her office.

While they were trying to glue it back together, they were making some noise. Sister Michael busted through the doors in her judo suit and in a fighting pose.

This was definitely a hilarious moment in the series as she said, “I thought we had an intruder, and he would’ve been a sorry boy, I just nailed some serious moves.”

    2. She grew up in Northern Ireland – and more specifically, Derry
