Have you always wanted to become a Derry Girl? Well, now’s your chance on this brand new Derry Girls tour launched in Northern Ireland.

Since hitting our screens in 2018, the hilarious sitcom has captured the hearts of many across the world.

To those who grew up in Northern Ireland throughout the 1990s, the show brought back nostalgic memories of yonder years, and for those further afield, it gave a glimpse into what life was like here.

So, if you’ve wanted to see the Walled City through the eyes of its most beloved fictional residents, now you can. This brand new Derry Girls tour launched in Northern Ireland is sure to be a hit!

What to expect – a full day experience

Taking place every Saturday until December, the Derry Girls tour departs from the Europa Hotel in Belfast at 9:30 am.

Guests will then be whisked away to the famous Walled City, where they will have the chance to walk in the footsteps of Erin, Orla, Claire, Michelle, and James.

Upon arrival in Derry, you will be greeted by Charlene McCrossan of City Tours for a Derry Girls themed walking tour.

Charlene will take you around some of the most famous filming locations from the series, as well as the famous Derry Girls mural.

Guests will then enjoy some free time to explore the city alone before travelling to the fantastic Everglades Hotel.

At the Everglades, you will be treated to a unique Derry Girls themed afternoon tea featuring Northern Irish 90s classics.

The afternoon tea menu is like one you’ve never seen before, consisting of sausage roll baps, crisp sandwiches, a cone of chips, and, for dessert, a cream horn.

The Derry Girls tour is a joint initiative between McComb’s Coach Travel and Hasting Hotels.

Following on from the success of their Line of Duty tour, the two Northern Irish companies decided to bring the lives of more of our favourite characters to life.

Fans were devastated at the announcement that the upcoming season of the hilarious sitcom is due to be the last. So, we are delighted that this tour will keep the magic alive for a little bit longer.

Tours are priced at £65 per adult, and availability is limited, so make sure to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

The end of an era – the third and final season

You will even get your very own Hastings Hotel Michelle duck to take home on the Derry Girls tour.

Filming is currently underway for the third and final season of Derry Girls. However, creator Lisa McGee hinted that a movie could be on the way in the future.

We aren’t quite ready to bid farewell to our favourite Derry teens and their families just yet. But, we suppose, all good things must come to an end.

But, if you take the tour, you will even get your very own Hastings Hotel Michelle duck to take home. So, you can bring a little bit of the magic home with you.

Do you fancy exploring the city like a Derry Girl? If so, you can book your Derry Girls tour via McComb’s Coaches or Hastings Hotels.
