Belfast’s most iconic Elvis impersonator will never be be seen in his rhinestone suit, leaving behind a legacy of craic, hip thrusts, and unforgettable street performances.

It’s true. Jelvis Pelvis – Belfast’s very own street-performing Elvis tribute act – is no more. The performer behind the persona, Jordan Devine, has officially called time on his days as the King.
Before anyone gets too worried or lights a vigil outside City Hall, rest easy – Jordan is alive, well, and very much kicking. It’s only the jumpsuit that’s been laid to rest.
In a post on Instagram today, Jordan made it clear:
“You will never see me ever again in a White Elvis suit out on thestreet, I’ve grown out of it and I will no longer dress up in it just to please people!”
And just like that, the Belfast streets lost one of their most entertaining characters. He’s sincer removed Jelvis from all of his social media channels.
The King is gone – well, sort of

For years, Jelvis Pelvis was a staple of city life – entertaining crowds with his wild dance moves, sharp one-liners, and unmistakable swagger. Whether it was outside CastleCourt, by the Big Fish, or strutting through Victoria Square, you could always rely on Jelvis for a tune and a laugh.
His performances were electric, his confidence contagious, and his hips? Dangerous.
Here at Meanwhile in Ireland, we had the pleasure of launching and selling his official merch. We were proud supporters of the Jelvis movement and, like many, we’ll miss him dearly.
What’s next for Jordan Devine?
Now stepping away from the limelight, Jordan says he’s done with the character for good. From here on, he’ll be going by his birth name – no wigs, no shades, and no sequins (well, maybe the odd one at Christmas).
While the performer may be changing direction, one thing’s for sure: Jordan Devine has left a mark on Belfast that won’t be forgotten.
So here’s to you, Jelvis – you came, you danced, and you conquered.
The King is gone… but the man lives on. We wish Jordan the best of luck!
