To celebrate, the popular Mexican burrito bar will be giving away free burritos to the first 200 hungry customers!

BURRITO BUFFS REJOICE! BOOJUM IS OPENING IN TALLAGHT NEXT WEEK.

The highly anticipated opening of cult burrito brand, Boojum, in Tallaght’s ‘The Square’ Shopping Centre has been announced as Friday 12th April at 11:30am.

Tallaght will be the company’s sixteenth store across the island of Ireland. The opening has created thirty jobs, both part time and full time, and is the third out of town Dublin location following Blanchardstown and Liffey Valley. The store is situated within the unit that previously housed Wow Burger, with burrito fanatics able to enjoy sit-in, takeaway, click ‘n’ collect, and delivery services.

The Tallaght opening follows on from the announcement of the company’s expansion into Great Britain this year, with its first GB store in Leeds also opening this month.

Head of Operations for Boojum, Robert Powell, said, “Following on from our announcement that we were opening in The Square, the excitement and anticipation from Boojum fans across the Tallaght area has been phenomenal. Their enthusiasm has solidified to us that opening in The Square is a great decision and is already showing signs that it will be a very busy restaurant indeed!”

Jack Martin, Director of Retail at The Square, commented, “We are delighted to welcome the Boojum team to The Square! This has been a very exciting development, and it has been a pleasure to work with the guys over the last few months in preparation for the store’s opening. Our own staff have been inundated with questions about when the official opening will be, so we can see that the excitement and anticipation is certainly building!”

Following the announcement of the company joining the Azzurri group in June last year, Boojum is enjoying continued success, with plans to open approximately twenty-five stores in GB within the coming years as well as plans to expand across Ireland even further, due to exceptional demand.

The burrito connoisseurs are also celebrating their win at the Just Eat Restaurant Awards which took place last month in Dublin. Votes were cast by the public, with Boojum taking home the award for ‘Best Mexican’.

For further updates on the Tallaght store and opening promotions, make sure to follow @boojummex on TikTok, Instagram and X, as well as the official Boojum Facebook page.

    Press release by Boojum.
