Are you on the hunt for a new opportunity? Want to get paid to watch every Father Ted episode and become a Father Ted TV show critic? Meanwhile in Ireland is hiring for this dream job; if you like what you hear, read on!

Job-hunting is generally a taxing feat, peppered by endless searching and less than favourable role descriptions that can sound increasingly snooze-worthy.

Not at Meanwhile in Ireland, however. You’ve heard right; we’re on the lookout for a Father Ted TV show critic. So, if you want to get paid to watch every Father Ted episode, you’ve come to the right place.

Indeed, they say when you find a job you love, you never work a day in your life. And, never could this be more true with this stay at home, couch-thriving, binge-worthy role at Meanwhile in Ireland.

The task at hand – your role as a Father Ted TV show critic

Dougal, one of Father Ted's most iconic characters.

If this all sounds too good to be true; please refrain from judgement and let us first elaborate on the task at hand for your role as a Father Ted TV show critic.

This short-term role falls under the category of a TV Critic, so if you already have experience in this field, you’re flying. Saying that, experience is non-essential. What is essential is knowledge of the TV and film industry, as well as an unrequited love for Father Ted.

The chosen candidate will, over three weeks, review and rate each episode of Father Ted. Airing from 1995-1998, the iconic Irish TV sitcom harboured 25 episodes, over three series.

It remains today one of the most celebrated homages to the Emerald Isle, and its fictitious pious characters are no less than Irish heroes.

What, you may ask, are the fruits of such research? Based on the in-depth findings gathered by our soon-to-be Father Ted TV Critic, Meanwhile in Ireland will publish the ultimate guide to Father Ted.

This guide, unlike any other, will break down each episode rating its merits by category. Essentially it will be the most forensic report and future go-to guide for Father Ted lovers across the globe.

If your idea of a “dream job” is lounging on your couch enjoying uproar of comedic genius, your time has come! This role is set to start Summer 2020, with interviews kicking off 15th June 2020.

The interview process includes a first-round submission, followed by a short assessment and finally a video call to select the single candidate. The role is set to begin early July 2020 and will last three weeks in total from its start date.

If this dream job alert to get paid to watch every Father Ted episode doesn’t sound ideal enough, you’ll be happy to learn that there are no set hours. The only deadline the chosen candidate will be given is that they complete the reviews three weeks from their start date. That’s it!

On completion, the self-confessed “Ted head” must submit to their Editor comprehensive notes on each episode, including an overall ranking from best to worst. These records will act as the foundations for our ultimate go-to guide to Father Ted by Meanwhile in Ireland, which will be published in its aftermath.
