Meanwhile in Ireland has amassed a huge following of nearly a million, as well as a dedicated 50,000 monthly readers.

As such, we aim to be a one-stop destination for both Irish enthusiasts and those seeking to explore Ireland’s culture, products, and entertainment.

Our Meanwhile in Ireland shop, which was launched in March this year, allows our readers to purchase authentic and unique Irish products as souvenirs or gifts.

Thanks to capitalising on our extensive social media following, the innovation of our products, strategic advertising, and so much more, the Meanwhile in Ireland shop has now been nominated for eCommerce Startup Website of the Year at the 2023 Irish eCommerce Awards.

The Meanwhile in Ireland shop is an extension of MeanwhileinIreland.com, exhibiting a range of Irish products that are ideal to pass on as gifts or to purchase a piece of Irish culture for yourself.

One of the key reasons we have been nominated for eCommerce Startup Website of the Year is thanks to the success of our Jelvis Pelvis merchandise range.

With the launch of the shop, we collaborated with well-known busker and TikTok influencer Jelvis Pelvis, and we launched an exclusive range of his merchandise, which sold over 40 products since becoming available.

This collaboration acted as a catalyst for sales on our site, giving us the confidence to grow and expand our range of products, which currently includes Celtic jewellery, clothing, prints, and Irish landmark mugs, catering to a diverse customer base with a wide array of interests.

The Celtic jewellery range has proven to be particularly popular since launching, thanks to a wide range of products that could appeal to multiple people, like Claddagh rings, Viking rings, Celtic Cross necklaces, and so much more.

The nomination for this award comes from the Irish eCommerce Awards 2023. These Awards recognise and reward teams and individuals all over Ireland who are helping shape the incredible internet retail industry across the country.

As well as the engaging collaboration that boosted the Meanwhile in Ireland shop, we have received this nomination for a number of key reasons.

This includes our keen strategy for advertising and promoting the shop and the products within it on social media and through our own articles.

Thanks to strategic advertising on online articles, readers of our website have been directed to our e-commerce store, further expanding our online reach and customer base.

Furthermore, innovative strategies, like offering a 10% discount on products for those who sign up to the newsletter, led to the rapid growth of our email list of more than 300 subscribers.

This is a testament to the effectiveness of this incentive and our ability to build lasting relationships with our customers. In the end, our unique range of products speaks for itself. You can check it out here.
