Hollywood icon Sarah Jessica Parker and actor husband Matthew Broderick have never been quiet about their love for Ireland, having enjoyed numerous family holidays to the Emerald Isle.

A Dublin restaurant owner revealed how Sarah Jessica Parker recently called in for dinner with her family. She even offered to help the busy staff serve food on the night.

The American actress and producer, best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, was joined by husband Matthew Broderick and children James, Marion, and Tabitha for a delicious meal in the city.

Staff were delighted to meet the famous family, with Sarah Jessica Parker even offering to help staff at the busy Dublin restaurant.

Located in Smithfield in Dublin City Centre, Soup 2 is a popular ramen restaurant and modern Asian diner.

Offering dishes for all tastes and dietary requirements, the eatery is a firm favourite among locals and those visiting the city.

With a range of flavourful Asian dishes, accompanied by a fantastic cocktail and craft beer bar, dining here is an experience you won’t forget.

Owner Conor Hughes has a passion for food and serving his customers with love. So, he couldn’t believe it when Hollywood icon Sarah Jessica Parker arrived with her family at the busy Dublin restaurant.

Dublin is no stranger to celebrity visitors, with the likes of Harry Styles, Matt Damon, and Bill Murray spotted around the city in recent years. Still, it is always a nice surprise when a familiar face pays a visit.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Conor said that Sarah Jessica Parker was “one of the nicest customers” he had had at the busy Dublin restaurant.

He explained, “She noticed we were super busy, asked if I was short-staffed. She jokingly offered to help in the kitchen, as I was cooking and running food!

“She seemed to know a lot about our business and clearly had done her due diligence.”

Conor explained that the family, and particularly 19-year-old James, seem to be real foodies. When asked what they ordered, he recalled they had fried chicken for a starter and ramen for the main course.

He said they also ordered “cauli wings and salmon sashimi to share. I sent an extra plate of sashimi as they seemed to love the first one. This gesture was met with amazed delight.

“They really appreciated it. Especially the kids.”

His kind gesture didn’t go unnoticed, as Sarah Jessica Parker even offered to help at the busy Dublin restaurant. Before leaving, she even gave him a hug as the family headed back to their hotel.
