A Spar in Lisburn has had to close its doors after a police car crashed through the entrance. Watch the video below.

The incident took place yesterday morning at 11.35 am at the Longstone Street Spar in Lisburn, County Down.
The PSNI said the collision took place after a police car responding to an emergency had to swerve to avoid hitting another vehicle driven by a member of the public.

The video above shows the incident in which a young woman narrowly misses being struck by the police car.
The crash took place in front of a number of bystanders who were shocked to see the emergency vehicle swerve into the shopfront.
It is understood that one person required first aid after being badly shaken by the collision.
The incident – an ‘evasive measure’ to avoid collision

A PSNI spokesperson said, “Shortly after 11.35 am today, Wednesday 21st September, a police vehicle was involved in a road traffic collision on Longstone Street, Lisburn.
“The driver of the police vehicle was responding to an emergency when they had to take evasive action to avoid a collision with a vehicle driven by a member of the public.
“Damage was caused to commercial premises and there has been a report of one person receiving minor injuries.
“Enquiries are underway to establish what occurred and anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured it on their dash cam, is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 635 of 21/09/2022.”
Closing the shop – closed until further notice
Henderson’s Retail, the company that operates the Spar shop, has said that the shop has closed. All customers and staff were able to safely exit the store.
The video above from Belfast Live depicts the vehicle being removed from the scene. It also shows the destruction caused by the crash.
Thankfully, no one seems to have been seriously harmed in the incident. The store itself, on the other hand.
