This is the most incredible friendship on Ireland’s beautiful shores!

Incredible footage of a labrador swimming and playing with a dolphin off the coast of on Tory Island in Co. Donegal was captured by the BBC a few years ago. The presenter of “Countryfile” was stunned when he witnessed a dog swimming out to a dolphin nicknamed ‘Doogie’ by locals. This is almost a daily event according to those who live there.

The presenter says on camera, “This is absolutely amazing, swimming around in the water, I have never seen anything like it.”

The video shows the dog running towards the harbour when he sees the dolphin, before jumping into the water to join his friend. The pair play and splash together while the dog wags his tail in delight.
