After weeks of speculation and rumours, we seem to be closing in on who will be the next Late Late Show host, and it’s looking like it will be Patrick Kielty.
The Late Late Show is one of the most highly acclaimed and long-running talk shows in the country and worldwide, having been on the air for 60 years – and it’s not expected to back down any time soon.
However, now that a replacement for Ryan Tubridy is due to take over, the show will take on a unique personality from its new presenter, albeit with the same thought-provoking debates, riveting performances, and insightful interviews.
It now seems that Patrick Kielty could be the man for the job.
Patrick Kielty is on the verge of becoming the next Late Late Show presenter – a potential host
The news of Kielty’s potential appointment as the Irish chat show’s newest presenter has caused quite a stir in the entertainment industry, with many show fans eagerly anticipating his debut.
Kielty is no stranger to the world of television, having hosted several successful shows in the UK and Ireland, including the BBC’s Fame Academy and Stand Up for the Week on Channel 4.
Kielty’s quick wit, charming personality, and extensive experience in the entertainment industry make him a perfect fit for The Late Late Show. In addition, his ability to engage with guests and audiences and his generosity will undoubtedly make him a firm favourite among viewers.
Speaking about the show, Kielty said, “I think The Late Late Show is one of the greatest TV shows on the planet, and whoever gets it is going to be really lucky”. This statement sparked debate as to whether he has been appointed or not.
While nothing has been officially confirmed by RTÉ yet, Kielty’s appearance at the IFTAs alongside his wife, Cat Deeley, has sparked plenty of fan talk. “I think something that maybe hasn’t been said: I’ve done chat shows before; I know how difficult they are”, he said on the red carpet.
