While burglary is something no one wants to become the victim of, this bizarre turn of events that took place at Pierce Brosnan’s home recently was indeed out of the ordinary.
Just recently, Irish actor Pierce Brosnan and his neighbours were the unfortunate victims of an intruder’s unwelcome activities. Police were called to the scene when an unknown man was seen loitering around the beachfront properties, but that’s not all.
What the assailant did upon entering the properties was truly bizarre.
A bizarre burglary – trespasser has caused quite a stir in Malibu
Reports suggest that an unidentified man was spotted loitering in the vicinity of Pierce Brosnan’s house and took liberties with neighbouring properties.
The man’s daring escapades included defecating and urinating in the garden of the house adjacent to Brosnan’s, leaving his unfortunate neighbours with quite the stinky predicament. The bizarre series of events continued as the man rummaged through the neighbour’s bins.
He then took advantage of the outdoor shower at the famous Irish actor’s Malibu property. With a representative for Brosnan confirming that “the man came onto the Brosnans’ property from the beach and used the outdoor shower”.
While this bizarre burglary is truly out of the ordinary, it is not the first time Brosnan has fallen victim to strange events. Just last year, the Navan actor had no choice but to take out a restraining order against a woman he accused of stalking him and his family.
The woman in question had been living in her car outside the actor’s property, so it is no wonder this incident has stricken a chord with the Brosnan family.
On the run – intruder caught hiding behind rocks on the beach
Following the strange incident, which will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most bizarre trespassing cases, the intruder escaped to the nearby beach, where he sought refuge behind rocks.
Unbeknownst to him, a helicopter was on his tail and police eventually arrested him and charged him with trespassing.
According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, “The suspect entered a neighbouring property – somebody else’s property – entered their laundry room, used their water, fled the location, and then trespassed onto Mr Brosnan’s property”.
It is thought that Brosnan’s wife Keely Shaye Smith was at home during the unthinkable event, but it is not confirmed if the actor himself was there to witness the chaos.
