If you have ever flown Ryanair, chances are you have experienced these infamous scenarios, so let’s take a look.

10 things you’ve experienced on a RYANAIR FLIGHT.

If you’ve ever set foot on a Ryanair flight – and let’s face it, most of us have, you most certainly have experienced these scenarios.

Truth be told, not many of us can ignore the incredible deals that the Irish airline regularly promotes, but that means succumbing to the infamous Ryanair adventure – warts and all.

Not many airlines can be compared to Ryanair, and here are a few things you’ve probably experienced when flying with them, so let’s see how many you can relate to. Here are ten things you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight.

    Table of Contents−
    • If you have ever flown Ryanair, chances are you have experienced these infamous scenarios, so let’s take a look.
      • 10. No flight facilities – always come prepared
      • 9. Bad customer service – it’s hit or miss
      • 8. Rushed safety instructions – keen to take off
      • 7. Overpriced food – unfathomable prices
      • 6. Separated from your travel partners – a luxury you must pay for
      • 5. Stag/hen parties – one of the worst situations
      • 4. Overdone onboard sales – the hard sell is just too much
      • 3. Clapping – to join in or not to join in?
      • 2. Lack of legroom – a very uncomfortable feature
      • 1. The on-time jingle – a cringeworthy end to the flight

    10. No flight facilities – always come prepared

If you have flown with Ryanair, you will have experienced the lack of in-flight entertainment, charging facilities and Wi-Fi (a luxury, of course). Ryanair is a budget airline, and because of this, it offers no-frills flights, which you need to be prepared for.

    9. Bad customer service – it’s hit or miss

Bad customer service is not rare.

Don’t get us wrong; Ryanair isn’t all bad, and its staff can be friendly and welcoming occasionally.

However, if there is one thing you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight, it is lousy customer service, especially when staff try their best to ‘hard sell’ during a short flight and ignore your simple requests. Or try and charge you a ridiculous amount for your carry-on bag being too big.

Ryanair is known for its savage Twitter responses, and this is always a topic!

    8. Rushed safety instructions – keen to take off

Honestly, when safety instructions are read out on planes, this may be when many of us zone out. However, for those who actually pay attention during this part of the flight, you may have noticed that they are rushed through on a Ryanair flight.

If you missed the safety instructions at the start of your flight, it’s a good job that they are stuck to the backs of every seat on the plane for us to read in case of an emergency!

    7. Overpriced food – unfathomable prices

If you are a regular Ryanair deal grabber, you may be in the routine of bringing your food on board or having a decent meal before setting off.

However, for those who find themselves starving as the flight takes off, there is an overpriced food menu at the ready. €10.99 panini anyone?

    6. Separated from your travel partners – a luxury you must pay for

Being separated from your group is one of the things you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight.

Let’s face it: sitting beside your friends, family or partner without paying for it is like winning the lottery when it comes to Ryanair.

Yet, one of the things we have all experienced on a Ryanair flight is being put next to a stranger while your travel partners are too far away to even chat with.

    5. Stag/hen parties – one of the worst situations

One of the top things you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight is sharing the plane with a rowdy stag or hen crowd, especially if it’s a very early flight. Nothing is worse than having to quietly sit through drunken banter while trying to eat your overpriced tub of Pringles.

    4. Overdone onboard sales – the hard sell is just too much

Most of us know that when flying anywhere, we will encounter some kind of onboard sales, which is standard with most airlines.

Yet Ryanair takes their onboard sales service to the next level, especially since we know nothing comes for free with budget flights like these. From selling lottery tickets to duty-free food, Ryanair stops at nothing to make a sale or two.

    3. Clapping – to join in or not to join in?

One of the main things you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight is the crowd of passengers clapping as the plane hits the runway.

While this can be experienced on other flights, you can almost guarantee that clapping will occur at the end of virtually every Ryanair flight.

    2. Lack of legroom – a very uncomfortable feature

The lack of legroom is a classic Ryanair feature.

This is one that almost every tall person – who has not paid for extra legroom, of course, has experienced when flying with Ireland’s budget airline.

It is no surprise that Ryanair is often among the worst airlines in legroom, and we really feel sorry for those dealing with just 30 inches of leg space.

    1. The on-time jingle – a cringeworthy end to the flight

Yes, one of the things you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight is the cringe-worthy jingle that Ryanair just loves to play at the end of every flight that has arrived on time.

It’s almost like Ryanair must brag that they have landed a plane at the scheduled time, which is undoubtedly standard practice.

So, there it is, some of the most common things you’ve experienced on a Ryanair flight – and there are plenty more to add. So, which one do you relate to more?
