One of Ireland’s most beloved Mexican restaurant chains, Boojum, is helping freshers settle into university life by giving away 15,000 free burritos.

Popular Mexican food chain, Boojum, is giving away 15,000 burritos on Thursday, 22 September, rewarding hungry students across Ireland.

As students across the country settle into university life and adjust to their new student budgets, the free burritos will be a welcome treat.

Fancy making the most of this promotion? Find out how you can get your hands on a free Boojum burrito next week below.

Everyone loves Boojum. However, the Mexican food chain proves particularly popular among students looking to enjoy a delicious, filling meal that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

As part of their ‘Buy One, Bank One’ promotion, Boojum will be giving away 15,000 burritos across Ireland next week.

The promotion will take place in all 14 Boojum outlets across Ireland for one day only, celebrating the return of full-scale fresher’s celebrations for the first time since 2019.

To take advantage of the promotion, those with a valid student ID must purchase a main meal in-store on 22 September. They will then receive a voucher entitling them to a free Boojum meal to bank for later.

To show their appreciation for all their student customers, Boojum is not only giving away 15,000 burritos across Ireland next week.

Rather, the Mexican burrito chain will also be helping one lucky student fund their studies with a mega giveaway of €5,000 and free burritos for an entire year.

With the cost of living rising for everyone, students will find it particularly difficult to make their loans stretch with the high cost of rent and tuition fees.

So, the popular Mexican chain hopes to alleviate some of the financial pressure for one student with this amazing giveaway.

Rewarding new students ‒ building a loyal fanbase

It is thanks to promotions like these (and, of course, their delicious Mexican-inspired meals) that have made Boojum such a hit among the Irish student population.

Managing Director David Maxwell spoke on Boojum’s latest promotion giving away 15,000 burritos next week. He said, “We have always been a student-focused brand and are constantly looking into ways that we can give back to our loyal customer base.

“What better way to reward them for choosing us than offering them another free burrito to bank?”

He continued, “Life at university can be financially challenging at the best of times, but this year especially with inflation soaring, students will really be feeling the pinch.

“With that in mind, we wanted to build on our previously successful fresher’s week campaigns and also offer a student the chance to have us fund their studies for a year.”

The campaign, called ‘FU** Your Studies’, perfectly aligns with the brand’s fun and student-focused nature. We just wish we were students again so we could take advantage of this amazing offer!
