Mad things happen in Ireland’s capital city every day – but we certainly didn’t expect an iconic Hollywood actor to get right into the middle of a local pub brawl.

Hollywood actor Steve Buscemi was spotted breaking up a fight outside a Dublin pub on Saturday.

An iconic Hollywood actor was spotted breaking up a fight at a Dublin pub over the weekend.

Steve Buscemi, known for Reservoir Dogs (1992) and Grown Ups (2010), is currently in Dalkey filming for the upcoming season of the Netflix hit series Wednesday.

During an afternoon out exploring the South Dublin suburb, the Hollywood actor was spotted breaking up a fight at a local Dublin pub.

Taking a break from filming, Steve Buscemi was spotted out and about in Dalkey on Saturday. A popular spot among the Hollywood set, actor Matt Damon also spent much time in the town.

Buscemi enjoyed a delicious dinner at Bubba’s Fish Market, a popular local seafood restaurant, in the evening.

After dinner, the 66-year-old Hollywood actor headed out into the town, where he was spotted breaking up a fight outside a popular Dublin pub.

Having spent years working as a firefighter, we can imagine this isn’t the first time Buscemi has had to get in between a brawl. Noticing the scuffle, the actor stepped in to help a man who had been beaten and fallen to the ground.

Local guy Oisín Heavey was also having dinner at Bubba’s on Saturday night. He spoke to the Irish Independent about the Hollywood actor breaking up the fight outside the Dublin pub.

Heavey said, “No one at my table recognised him except for me. I’m a huge movie buff, so I knew him straight away. He was very nice, friendly, and engaging.”

Heavey continued, “We could see a crowd gathering, looking up toward where he had gone. So, we assumed someone had recognised him.

“However, Steve Buscemi was standing there completely unnoticed… He stood over the guy on the ground for a few seconds, and the fight naturally broke up after that…

“He tried to help, which is more than most people would do.”

After the scuffle ended, Buscemi left the scene.
