    “Contains 100% Irish Beef”.

The Irish Farmer Calendar is back and better than ever.

Back by popular demand, the 2024 Irish Farmer Calendar is back and better than ever. The calendar is a huge hit each year, featuring images of scantily clad Irish farmers from all over the country.

We spoke to the creator of the Irish Farmer Calendar, Ciara Ryan, to find out everything there is to know about this year’s edition.

The Irish Farmer Calendar – the inspiration

The Irish Farmer Calendar has been delighting fans all over the world, from the US and Australia to Japan, Hong Kong and beyond, for the past 14 years.

When we asked the creator of the hit calendar, Ciara Ryan, what the inspiration was behind it, she told us, “The firemen calendars were the initial inspiration. I felt the farmers should be featured in the same light but not just posing and looking pretty.

“I wanted to add another dimension to the images in the form of humour”.

Described as “agri born” by former The Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy, the calendar has previously beaten One Direction, Conor McGregor, and Justin Bieber in the calendar charts, not forgetting Cliff Richard and Daniel O’Donnell, too.

The 2024 edition – ‘Fan Favourites’

    A Fan Favourites edition.

Back by popular demand, the 2024 edition of the hit Irish Farmer Calendar features hunks of agricultural charm from Cork, Wexford, Dublin, Roscommon, Tipperary and Kilkenny.

When we asked Ciara what sets this calendar aside from previous years, she told us, “Last year was meant to be the final year of the calendar but we received many supportive messages from fans expressing their hope that we would do another year”.

As such, the team decided to produce the ‘Fan Favourites’ edition of the calendar, an amazing showcase of images from the last 14 years for anybody new to the calendar.

Farmers appear in their full (or at least topless) glory along with a rabbit, a goat, a lamb, horses, hens and even a Lamborghini pulling a hay trailer!

When we asked Ciara where they find the models for the calendar, she told us, “They are generally put forward by sister’s or wives or girlfriends, but there’s a brave few who apply themselves without that push from anyone”.

If you fancy getting your hands on the 2024 edition of the Irish Farmer Calendar, you can do so here for just €12.99!

When we asked Ciara if there was anything else our readers should know about the calendar, she said, “The calendar is gentle fluff in a world that has plenty of harsh news stories. We want to put a smile on people’s faces. It’s a bit of fun”.

As for the prospect of the Irish Farmer Calendar 2025, she told us, “We take each year as it comes. It will remain to be seen.

“We have farmers applying for potential future editions of the calendar on a regular basis so we may end up producing new images next year but it’s too early to say. Watch this space!”.
