Top 10 best Liam Neeson movies of all time.

We can all agree that Liam Neeson has starred in some of the best movies, and many of us certainly have our favourites, but there may be a few of his best ones that you haven’t yet seen.

One of the things we love about Liam Neeson is his versatility as an actor, and since he began acting back in the 1980s, he has starred in some incredible and memorable hit movies. So here are the ten best Liam Neeson movies you need to feast your eyes on.

    10. The Commuter (2018) – a murder conspiracy

This fantastic action/thriller movie saw Liam Neeson play the role of a cop who is now working as an insurance salesman and is recruited into a murder conspiracy while on his way to work one day.

This may not be the number one movie he has ever made, but it makes excellent use of his acting skills and his Irish accent, of course, making it well worth a watch.

    9. Kingdom of Heaven (2005) – fantastic one-liners

In 2005, Liam Neeson starred in Ridley Scott’s hit movie Kingdom in Heaven, in which he delivered a killer line right at the beginning of the film, which went, ‘I once fought two days with an arrow through my testicle’.

Although he didn’t have much air time in this movie, his epic performance, and one-liner made for a memorable film.

    8. Love Actually (2003) – a festive rom-com

Not many Irish households don’t dedicate a night to watching Love Actually when the festive season comes around, and we cannot help but love Liam Neeson’s character in this romantic comedy.

Recently widowed, Neeson aims to connect with his son and help him through his first-time crush, leaving us warm inside.

    7. Non-Stop (2014) – chaos in the sky

Starring alongside Julianne Moore, Neeson played an ex-NYPD officer with an alcohol problem in yet another action thriller – one of these best-themed movies.

    6. Darkman (1990) – superhuman abilities

One of the best Lima Neeson movies is an American superhero-themed film. He plays a scientist who developed superhuman abilities when treatment for an injury went wrong.

This movie is based on a short story paying homage to horror films of the 1930s. It is based around revenge and was Neesons first action movie as the main character.

    5. The Lego Movie (2014) – good cop, bad cop

While many of us think of action thrillers when we think of Liam Neeson movies, we sometimes forget that he lent his voice to The Lego Movie in 2014 alongside a host of other notable actors.

Following the story of the famous Lego line, Neeson played the role of good cop and bad cop, who caused trouble for the main character, Emmet.

    4. Michael Collins (1996) – a biographical film

This 1996 biographical drama is certainly one of the best Liam Neeson movies out there. It focuses on the life of Irish revolutionary leader Michael Collins and his fight for Irish independence.

Neeson was nominated for numerous awards for his incredible role in the movie and went on to win the best actor at the Venice Film Festival and the best actor at the Evening Standard British Film Awards.

    3. Batman Begins (2005) – a villainous role

In this revived Christopher Nolan movie, the first of the Batman franchise of 2005, Christian Bale was cast as Batman, while Liam Neeson was cast as Ra’s al Ghul, for which he played the part spot on.

The contrast between the two characters and their outlooks made the film what it was and made it one of our favourite roles Neeson has played over the years.

    2. Taken (2008) – a kidnapping in Paris

We could not have a list of the best Liam Neeson movies without the favourite action thriller, Taken, in which Neeson delivers the epic threat over the phone, revealing that he has a “particular set of skills” which will ensure he catches his daughter’s kidnapper – and that he did!

    1. Schindler’s List (1993) – an incredible true story

One of the top Liam Neeson movies of all time has to be Shindler’s List, the true story of Oskar Shindler and his great mission to save over a thousand Polish Jewish people during the Holocaust.

There is no doubt that Neeson’s role in the Steven Spielberg movie did the story justice and remains one of our favourite roles he has ever played.
