Daniel O’Donnell renews wedding vows to wife of 20 years

Our country’s darling has renewed his vows with the love of his life. Could 2023 be off to a better start if it tried?

Daniel O’Donnell renews wedding vows to wife of 20 years.

Wee Daniel is the most iconic songman of the last few generations and is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

We all rejoiced on learning that he has renewed his vows with his darling Majella to mark 20 years together.

The bespoke ceremony happened in the happy couple’s Donegal home, surrounded by their loving family.

Daniel O’Donnell and Majella, who met in 1999 in Tenerife, have stood the test of time. The couple exchanged their vows in front of their Christmas tree in their Donegal home, surrounded by family members.

Daniel posted the news on his Facebook page, along with the message, “After a wonderful 20 years of marriage, Majella and I renewed our vows with a small family gathering tonight at our home in Donegal”. Fans flooded the post to send their good wishes.

One fan said, “Congratulations! They say the first 20 years are the hardest, so it’s all even better from now on! You both look so happy & have a beautiful family. God bless & stay as happy as you are now.”

Many die-hard Daniel fans will know that Daniel’s favourite holiday destination is Tenerife, where he met Majella back in 1999. Majella’s parents ran a bar over there, and this is where Daniel met his wife-to-be.

They married three years later, and the rest, they say, is history. Daniel already knew Majella’s parents as they were well known in the Irish scene in Tenerife.

Having no entertainment on the night, Majella’s mother urged her to sing a song for Daniel. We’re unsure what the song was, but we have it on good authority that it left quite the imprint on Wee Daniel.

The couple today − they have achieved many great things

Over the years, Daniel and Majella have become grandparents; they have battled Majella’s cancer together, and they have starred in their own hit television show; there’s no end to the highs and lows they have lived through, side by side.

Our favourite Daniel and Majella moments were the Covid-19 lockdown moments where they would regularly go on Facebook Live and keep us entertained. We can’t wait to see what the next twenty years have in store for Daniel and Majella.

We think they should be elected as president and first lady of Ireland and moved into Áras an Úachtarán, but that’s just our opinion. Where do you think Daniel and Majella will be in twenty years?
