Could this be the best Irish performance in the last few years?

A student choir from Dublin performed an amazing rendition of the ancient Irish song “Mo Ghile Mear” (My Gallant Darling). Listening to this is sure to leave you speechless!

The Choir, The Choral Scholars, from University College Dublin have recently released their debut album ‘Invisible Stars’. Their record includes both traditional and contemporary choral music from Ireland and Scotland. The release also features arrangements and new compositions by some of Ireland’s most celebrated composers for choirs.

The song they sing in this video is “Mo Ghile Mear”, which was written by Seán Clárach Mac Domhnaill in the 18th century.
